ES UN MINISTERIO INTEGRAL PARA TODA LA FAMILIA HISPANA
Carta del Pastor:
Estimado amigo (a) hispano (a) te damos la bienvenida a nuestra Iglesia.
Como pastor de la congregación hispana quiero invitarte a que nos visites y que seas parte de la familia Cristiana Hispana.
La Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Galax, está formada por un hermoso grupo de personas de varios países latinos, todos unidos por la fe en Jesucristo.
Todos los que no hemos nacido en este país y vivimos aquí por trabajo u otras razones, a veces nos sentimos un poco solos. Pero en la iglesia Bautista todos somos como una familia y nos ayudamos unos a otros, y oramos unos por otros.
Dios te ama y tiene un plan para ti y tu familia.
Deseamos animarte a seguir al Señor Jesús fielmente, todos los días de tu vida.
Cada domingo, cada miércoles, y en cada reunión de la iglesia siempre habrá una persona esperándote con alegría.
Es mi deseo y mi oración que cada hispano en Galax y alrededores reciba el mensaje de salvación en Jesucristo y que cada familia viva unida, en paz, en armonía, y en comunión con Dios.

El Ministerio Hispano de la Primera Iglesia Bautista de Galax, existe con el propósito de servir a toda la comunidad hispana de Galax y sus alrededores.
Nuestra iglesia sirve en diferentes áreas de la comunidad imigrante, como en las necesidades espirituales, físicas, educativas, sociales y familiares a fin de desarrollar personas y familias con convicciones firmes basadas en la Palabra de Dios, e integradas a la sociedad americana.
El Ministerio Hispano de la Primera Iglesia Bautista, está motivado por el amor a Dios y al prójimo.
Jesús dijo:
“Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fui extranjero, y me recibisteis; estaba desnudo, y me vestisteis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; en la cárcel, y vinisteis a mí.”
Mateo 25: 35-36.
Actividades para toda la familia:
• Escuela Dominical los domingos a las 10: 00 a. m.
• Servicio de adoración a las 11:00 a. m.
• Estudio Bíblico y oración, domingos a las 6: 00 p. m.
• Estudios bíblicos en los hogares.
• Visitación y evangelismo.
• Clases de inglés como segunda lengua.
• Alfabetización para adultos hispanos.
• Clases en español para hacer el GED.
• Clases en español para hacer el examen de ciudadanía.
Otros servicios:
• Consejería familiar. (Con cita al Tel. 236-5185)
• Cursos bíblicos por correo. (Gratis a cualquier país)
• Donación de ropas usadas.
• Ministerio de benevolencia.
Con el objetivo de responder a las necesidades del inmigrante hispano en su integración a la sociedad en USA, también ofrecemos ayuda gratuita en:
Orientación:
• Con los servicios médicos disponibles.
• En llenar solicitudes de empleo.
• En como obtener un número ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number).
• En el proceso de solicitar un número de SSN (Social security number).
• De los requisitos de USCIS para refugiados.
• En la renovación de permisos de trabajo y otros permisos.
• Con traducción de documentos personales.
• Para encontrar un notario que hable español.
• En encontrar un interprete para el hospital, la corte u otros lugares.
En la iglesia no tenemos una oficina de servicios profesionales, sólo brindamos orientación en como encontrar los servicios disponibles a los imigrantes.
Cómo llegar a la iglesia:
La iglesia está en la Ruta 58, que es la misma Stuart Dr.
1/2 milla al oeste de la tienda Wal Mart o 1/2 milla al este de McDonald’s.
Si necesita transporte para venir a la iglesia solamente llamenos al Tel. 236 - 51 85 o al 238- 55 46 y le iremos a recoger.

Letter from the pastor:
Dear hispanic friend, we welcome you to our church!
As the pastor of the hispanic congregation I want to invite you to visit us and be a part of our Christian hispanic family.
First Baptist’s Hispanic congregation is formed by a beauitul gruoup of people from several latin countries, all united by our faith in Jesus Christ.
All of us who weren’t born here and live here because of work or other reasons sometimes feel a bit lonely. In our congregation we are all like family, help each other and pray for each other.
God loves you and has a plan for you and your family.
We wish to encourage you to follow the Lord Jesus faithfully, all the days of your life.
Every Sunday, Wednesday and at every church meeting there will always be somebody waiting for you with joy.
It is my wish and my prayer that every hispanic in Galax and its surrounding area receive the message of salvation through Jesus Christ and that every family can live in unity, peace, harmony and in fellowship with God.

The purpose of the Hispanic ministry at First Baptist is to serve the entire hispanic community of Galax and its surrounding areas.
Our church serves the hispanic community in different ways such as spiritual, physical, educational, social and family needs with the purpose of developing individuals and families with firm convictions based in the Word of Gdd and integrated with the American community.
The Hispanic ministry at First Baptist is motivated by the love of God and love for others.
Jesus Said:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Activities for the whole family:
• Sunday School , Sundays 10: 00 a. m.
• Worship service, Sundays 11: 00 a.m.
• Bible Study and prayer meeting, Sundays 6: 00 p.m.
• Bible study groups in homes
• Visitation and evangelism
• English as a second language classes
• Reading and writing classes for the hispanic adult
• Spanish GED preparation classes
• US Citizenship exam preparation classes

• Family counseling (by appointment: (276) 236-5185)
• Distance learning Bible classes (mailed to any country at no cost)
• Clothes Closet ministry
• Benevolence ministry
With the purpose of meeting the needs of the hispanic immigrant in his integration to the society in the U. S. we also offer help at no cost in the following:
Orientation:
• With medical services available.
• With filling out work applications.
• With the process of obtaining a TIN. (Tax Identification Number)
• With the process of obtaining a SS#. (Social Security Number)
• With the requirements of the USCIS. (U. S. Citizen and Immigration Services) for refugees
• With renewing work permits and other permits.
• With the translation of personal documents.
• With finding a Spanish speaking notary public.
• With finding an interpreter for hospital visits, court cases or other needs.
We do not have a professional services office at the church. We only give orientation on how to find these services available to immigrants.
How to get to church:
The church is on Route 58, which is the same as Stuart Dr., ½ a mile west of Wal-mart or ½ a mile east of McDonald’s Restaurant.
If you need transportation to get to church, call us at (276) 236 - 5185 or (276) 238 - 5546 and we will pick you up.
