OUR BELIEFS

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God, and that His Son and our Lord and Savior Jesus is the standard by which the Bible is to be interpreted. We voluntarily unite together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, certain of the Christian hope that those who place their trust and obedience in our Lord Jesus Christ will reign with Him for ever and ever, and are committed to sharing this good news of salvation with lost humanity.

First Baptist Galax is on a mission to impact individuals and families throughout the world by sharing Jesus, by serving the broken hearted and the lost, and by becoming devoted followers of Christ.

OUR TEAMS

First Baptist Church uses a gift-based ministry to help members and non-members find and use their spiritual gifts and talents. Teams are formed as people see a need or have a desire for ministry. Anyone who wishes to organize a new team ”casts a call” to see if others are interested in being a part of that ministry. The gifts identification team is available to help people identify their spiritual gifts, learn About teams are in place, and also to help anyone who would like to establish a new team.

There are five ministry areas: Administration, Congregational Care, Missions and Evangelism, Spiritual Formation, and Worship & Music.

OUR MISSIONS

Here at First Baptist Church our mission is to spread the gospel throughout the world. We do this through our local and global mission projects. This ranges from feeding the hungry right here in our backyard to sending food and health supplies over seas.

FAMILY LIFE

Here you will ﬁnd ministries for children, youth and parents. At First Baptist we strive to partner with parents to become the spiritual leaders of their family.
